Help Hank Get Healthy! Stella & Dot Fundraiser

By now, I'm sure you know that I'm all about military spouses supporting one another. Today, I've got a great cause for you to support… not only will you be able to help this sweet puppy, but you'll look fantastic doing it! Read on to find out how.

Hank

This adorable puppy is Hank, and he was recently adopted from an El Paso animal shelter by a fellow spouse. For those of you who don't know, El Paso (Fort Bliss area) has an unfortunate problem with parvo. Their rates are especially high among dogs adopted from shelters. There simply isn't enough funding to go around to vaccinate all the animals.

When Hank contracted the disease, his owners did not give up like many people would. They didn't return him to the shelter. Instead, they took him for treatment, like all wonderful and respectable fur-parents should.

I'm happy to report that Hank is on the mend now, and doing much better! He's finally back home with his people, and couldn't be happier.

Unfortunately, Hank's medical bills match the severity of his sickness. Though he has beat parvo, the bills now total more than $1300. Emergency clinics, boarding, medication, and even nebulizer treatments have all added up to quite an expense.

His family is fundraising to cover his expenses in a unique way. Rather than simply sending funds (though I'm sure that would be appreciated!), you can purchase from their Stella & Dot Fundraiser party! All proceeds go to Hank's medical bills. I know his family would be grateful for your support, PLUS you get some pretty cool jewelry. Or maybe a bag. Or scarf.

Hank's owner is well-known in the El Paso community as a huge dog lover… in fact, she runs Lola's Bed and Biscuit, the best boarding and puppy daycare around. Show your support for these great people and their newest family member if you can. Buy some jewelry, and know your contribution has made a very real difference to Hank and his family.

Thanks for reading, peeps! Here is the link one more time, if you'd like to help Hank: Stella & Dot Fundraiser. For my overseas friends, Stella & Dot will ship to your APO!

And if you're stationed in Fort Bliss, give Lola's Bed and Biscuit a shot for all your puppy boarding needs. I can personally attest to the great care your pets will receive there.

See ya soon!
